Yes, you read that title right, your body does in fact need carbs to provide you energy through the day.... Just not as many as the government food lobby recommends and most definitely not as many bad carbs as there are in the typical American diet.
In my diet, I try to keep it under 60 grams in carbs a day. Most days, I'm around 40.
You have no doubt heard the line, "Good carbs vs. bad carbs..."
Take it to heart, keep it simple. Vegetables, fruits, heck, even milk provides you with good carbs. Eat all the salad you want, your body LOVES those carbs! Try to cut back if not eliminate the bad carbs from your daily diet, the breads, pastas, rice, chips, pretzels and sweets. Treat them as they are - TREATS. They taste great, they're special, but they're not really for daily consumption.
